Sales were off in Virginia with 15% less dollar volume of sales than July 2018, while Montgomery County showed a robust 12.3% gain in sales and a 4% gain in average price. The District had only a 1.7% increase in sales over last year and a 4.8% increase in average price.
The close-in areas with Metro access show faster sales, while the entire marketplace is still experiencing shortage of product. None of this looks like it will change in the foreseeable future, but the prospect of continuing low interest rates promises a good fall market.
